Singer Melanie Müller is said to have shown the Hitler salute to the audience several times from the stage at an event in Leipzig. The 34-year-old had denied the allegations and rejected any proximity to right-wing radicals.
With the controversial gesture, she wanted to heat up the audience, she argued. It was not the so-called Hitler salute, but she had shouted "as often in my appearances the saying 'Zicke-zacke' and pulled her arm rhythmically upwards.
