Academician Zhu Qihe, a famous Chinese physical chemist, passed away at the age of 100. Born in Beijing on July 12, 1924.

Graduated from the Chemical Engineering Department of Central University in 1947. In 1951, he received a PhD in chemistry from the University of California, Berkeley. In 1995, he was elected as an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. He has successfully developed 6 large-scale experimental devices using molecular beams and lasers with international standards. The body was donated and the funeral was kept simple, without a farewell ceremony.
