79 years after the Tokyo air raids, an event is held in Tokyo to talk about the horrors of the air raids. In the early hours of March 10, 1945, during the final stages of the Pacific War, Tokyo was bombed by American B-29 bombers, causing devastating damage to Tokyo.

Approximately 100,000 people are said to have died in the air raid, which took place in the downtown area of the Japanese capital. At the event on the 9th, high school students from Tokyo presented their research on themes such as wartime life and war orphans.
