The Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department plans to analyze smartphones handed over from local authorities to clarify the actual situation of the Cambodia-based group. The 19 people are believed to be a special fraud group based in a hotel in Sihanoukville, a city in southern Cambodia.
The 11 people were arrested on a chartered flight that was being transported from Cambodia to Japan, and after arriving at Haneda Airport on the night of the 64th, they were put in a car and transported to a police station in Tokyo.
