127 people were severely held accountable for the "8·21" flash flood disaster in Jinyang, Sichuan. The public security organs opened a case for investigation and took criminal coercive measures against 12 corporate personnel suspected of violating laws and crimes.
The 109 responsible persons were given party discipline and government sanctions or admonitions, ordered to inspect, and criticized and educated. The procuratorial organs review and prosecute in accordance with the law. Several special-depth meetings were held to study the investigation and handling of the disaster.
