100 days until new banknotes are issued, commemorative event at Eiichi Shibusawa's birthplace, Saitama. The 25th marks the 100th day until July 3rd, when banknotes with a new design will be issued.
A commemorativeevent was held in Fukaya City, S.aitama Prefecture, the birthplace of Eiichis Shibusawa, who will be featured on the new 10,000 yen bill. The new10,000 bill to be issued on July 3th this year features a portrait of ShibusAW, a businessman known as the ''father of modern Japanese economy''
