This year is the Year of the Dragon in the Chinese lunar calendar. During the Spring Festival holiday, museums across China have launched a "dragon hunt" craze.

At Anhui Museum, visitors are keen to explore the Chinese people’s love affair with dragons in the exhibitions and collections of cultural relics. The earliest dragon image discovered in China can be traced back to the Hongshan Culture about 8,000 years ago. The Chinese dragon has evolved into complex and changeable artistic shapes with its unique oriental mysterious connotation.
