On December 18 last year, a 6.2-magnitude earthquake occurred in Jishishan County, Gansu Province. More than 50,000 households and 240,000 people were affected in the county.
Xiaohongping Village was one of the villages hardest hit by the earthquake. The village's 569 households currently have 379 residents, more than 1,800 people live in centralized resettlement sites. The "Ga Laohan" Erhu Band was performing for the villagers at the "Village Spring Festival Gala"
