Ankang East Station is located in southern Shaanxi, between Qinling Mountains and Bashan. It is the intersection of Xikang, Xiangyu and Yang'an lines, and an important railway hub connecting northwest, southwest and central China.

The train's advancement, deceleration or stop are all transmitted by signaling equipment, so railway signaling equipment is called the "eyes" of the train. Operators must race against time to complete the maintenance tasks within the specified time.
