Talks between the United States, Egypt and Qatar are planned this weekend in Cairo to obtain a ceasefire in Gaza. Joe Biden urged negotiators to convince Hamas, almost six months of war in the Palestinian territory ravaged by destruction and on the verge of famine.
Nearly 33,100 people have died in the Gaza Strip, most of them civilians, according to the Palestinian Islamist movement's health ministry. The Israeli army admitted a series of "errors" which led to the death of seven humanitarian workers on Monday evening.
