Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, a weapons specialist in the movie "Rust," has been found guilty of the death of cameraman Galina Hutchins. In the fall of 2021, during the filming of the film, actor Alec Baldwin fired a shot, which killed Hutchins and seriously wounded director Joel Souza.
The jury concluded that the defendant did not falsify evidence to prevent her own arrest by the police. The defense expressed disagreement with the verdict and noted that it would appeal. An additional trial will be held against the artist, scheduled for July 9, 2024.
