Three foreign-born men living in Tokyo and Aichi prefectures file suit. They claim they have been repeatedly questioned by police on the basis of their race, skin color, nationality, etc.

The three people are demanding compensation of more than 3 million yen per person. A manual for young police officers states that a person who does not speak Japanese will always be accused of some kind of illegal activity, defense team says. The National Police Agency says it is aware of the report, but we have not received the complaint, so will refrain from commenting.
