Copenhagen's municipality of Christiania demolishes notorious "Pusher Street" Residents and guests tore paving stones out of the ground in spring-like weather. Police also removed the cannabis outlets that had been set up on the street.

In 1971, a group of hippies founded the “Freistadt Christiania” in a former barracks. In the state-tolerated autonomous community, its own laws and rules apply. About half a million tourists visit Christiania every year.
