[HIGHLIGHTS] War in Gaza: at the UN, Russian and Chinese veto the American resolution for a ceasefire

In New York, the UN Security Council has just met with on the agenda the examination of a new resolution of American origin with a view to achieving a truce in the Gaza Strip. The cynicism and dissension of the permanent members of the Security Council were unfortunately once again in full force.

Russia and China had made it clear: there was no question of letting a ceasefire demanded by the United States pass. The American Secretary of State, Anthony Blinken, is, for his part, in Israel this Friday, March 22.
