Tokyo crude oil market price rises due to Middle East situation, reaching 80,000 yen level for the first time in about 5 months. The futures price of crude oil from the Middle East traded in the Tokyo market was 80,240 yen per kiloliter in early morning trading on the 5th for this year's September oil.

The reason for this is that an attack on the Iranian embassy in Syria, believed to be by Israel, has led to widespread speculation that if the situation in the Mideast becomes tense, it will affect crude oil supplies.
