The Hungarian GME launches its takeover bid for Talgo without waiting for the green light from the Government. Ganz-Mavag Europe (GME) has presented this afternoon to the CNMV the request to take control of Renfe through a Public Acquisition Offer (OPA) of its shares.

The Hungarian group is a public-private consortium that publicly announced its intentions on March 7. The Government considers this operation hostile to a company that it classifies as strategic and has warned that it will do "everything possible" to avoid it.
