[HIGHLIGHTS] The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations food price index rose month-on-month in March

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations food price index rose month-on-month in March. The quotations of palm oil, soybean oil, sunflower oil and rapeseed oil all rose.

In contrast, the cereal price index fell by 2.6% month-in-a-year in March, a drop of 20% compared with the same period in 2023. In March, the FAO foodprice index averaged 118.3 points, a decrease of 7.7% compared to the same time last year.
