Around 100 activists have occupied a forest near the Tesla factory in Grünheide since Thursday night. Their goal: to stop the clearing of the approximately 120 hectare area where Tesla wants to build a freight station and storage areas.
The police have now announced that the occupation of the forest by the environmental activists will not be dissolved. The protests could continue as a multi-day gathering, initially until March 15, with the option of an extension. The local council is expected to decide on the development plan in May.
