Taiwan puts more high-tech products on the sanctions list for Russia and Belarus. Despite existing sanctions, products from Taiwan recently appeared in Russia.
China sees Taiwan as part of the People's Republic, while Taiwan sees itself as independent. Taiwan did not deliver the goods directly to Russia, they went to Turkey or China. The new sanctions are due to come into force on March 8th, 2014, and will apply to all goods and services exported from Taiwan to Russia and to other countries.
