Shanghai COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry sets the world’s shortest record for VLCC conversion to FPSO cycle. The modified FPSO is named Maria Quiteria, with a length of 333.3 meters, a width of 58 meters, and a depth of 31.25 meters.
It is expected to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 120,000 tons per year, which is equivalent to the annual carbon dioxide absorption of 460,000 broad-leaved trees in 5,000 acres.
