Russia is not negotiating gas transit through Ukraine with either Brussels or Kiev, says Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak. According to Novak, the prospect of selling gas to Europe on the border with Ukraine is also not being discussed.

Earlier, Prime Minister of Ukraine Denis Shmygal told the head of the government of Slovakia, Robert Fico, that the Ukrainian side has no plans to extend the agreement on the transit of Russian gas to European countries, which expires at the end of 2024. The Russian leader's press secretary, Dmitry Peskov, said that stopping the transit will lead to a change in logistics chains.
