In the logistics industry, a cap on overtime work for truck drivers will be applied from April 1st. A private think tank estimates that if no measures are taken, approximately 35% of parcels nationwide will not be able to be transported by 2030.

A supermarket headquartered in Hiroshima is expanding its joint delivery efforts with rival companies. The Kyushu Logistics Study Group was established in August of last year to help rival retail companies collaborate, including transportation companies. It believes that if it were to be arranged like a "sea container," transportation work could be made more efficient.
