The Financial Services Agency has a policy of requiring listed companies to disclose greenhouse gas emissions. A meeting of experts will be set up next month to discuss specifics.

Mandatory disclosure will be gradually introduced in each member country of the European Union starting next year. The agency also confirmed the importance of helping a wide range of generations acquire knowledge about investment and asset building through the Organization for the Promotion of Financial and Economic Education, which is scheduled to be newly established this year. It will first target some companies that operate globally, and will discuss the specific scope of target companies.
