Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry to provide 590 billion yen for new Rapidas factory, totaling over 900 billion yen. Approximately five new factories will be built in Hokkaido by Rapidus, which aims to domestically produce cutting-edge semiconductors.
Rapidus was established a year ago with investment from Toyota Motor Corporation, NTT, Sony Group, and others. Aiming for mass production around 2027, we are building a new factory in Chitose City, Sapporo.
