Israel no longer issues visas for aid workers in the West Bank and Gaza. In almost five months, two thirds of foreign aid workers no longer have visas.

The rest of the employees have visas that are about to expire in the coming weeks or months. The humanitarian sector is particularly targeted by these access restrictions, says Aida coordinator Firas Arouri. If Israel does not resume issuing visas, all aid workers will have to leave by early fall, when the last visas issued in 2023 will expire.
