The four men, Pejman Fatehi, Vafa Azarbar, Mohammad Faramarzi and Mohsen Mazloum, were arrested in July 2022. They are members of the Iranian separatist Kurdish party Komala and had been trained in an African country by the Israeli Mossad to blow up a factory belonging to the Defense Ministry.
At the end of December, Iran had already executed four people found guilty of collaborating with Israel. Iran accuses Kurdish parties of being supported by Israel and the United States to carry out armed operations in the country.
