In February 2024, consumer prices increased by 0.7% year-on-year and 1.0% month- on-month. On average from January to February, the national consumer price remained the same as the same period last year.
Among food, the price of eggs fell by 5.1%, affecting the CPI to fall by about 0.03 percentage points. The prices of the other seven major categories increased six times and fell one year on year. The price of education, culture and entertainment, transportation and communications, and medical care increased by 1.7%, 1.6%, and 0.4% respectively.
