The Israeli army announced this Monday March 18 that it was carrying out an operation on al-Chifa hospital. The largest hospital in the Gaza Strip, located in the north of the enclave, is believed to be hiding Hamas officials.
Witnesses reported aerial bombardments on the Al-Rimal district where the hospital center is located. There are also reports of an exchange of fire within the hospital grounds. The health ministry in Hamas-controlled Gaza is calling on the international community to intervene to stop what is being described as a massacre.
