France: inflation slows in February to +2.9% over one year, according to INSEE. Between January and February, prices actually climbed by 0.8% after -0.2% in January.

Food prices, however, fell slightly over the month. In 2023, inflation in France had slowed to 4.9%, on average after 5.2%, INSEE said in a statement on Thursday. The year-on-year decline in February is due to the slowdown in prices of food, manufactured products and services.
