[HIGHLIGHTS] Daihatsu is considering restarting production of some car models at its Shiga factory after the 4th of next month

Daihatsu Motor Co. Ltd.

will be shutting down operations at its Shiga factory in Ryuo-cho, Shiga Prefecture, on April 4 next month. The company suspended operations at four of its domestic automobile factories in December last year due to issues with fraudulent acquisition of national certification. The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism ordered them to suspend shipments after confirming compliance with standards. Daihatsu resumed production of some car models at its Kyoto Plant on the 12th of this month.
