China plans to open up new growth pole for wind power development in rural areas. Officials said the move will open up a new growthpole for Wind power development.

At present, China's wind power is mainly developed on a large scale in the "Three North" regions. As low-wind speed power generation technology gradually matures, it is increasingly feasible and economical to develop wind power locally and nearby in the central and southeastern regions. If 1,000 qualified villages are selected for pilot development every year, an additional 20 million kilowatts of wind power installed capacity can be added annually, with an additional investment of approximately 100 billion yuan.
