Beijing takes the lead in trialling “electronic passport” for cargo clearance. In the first two months of this year, customs across the country processed a total of 3,485 ATA carnets, a year-on-year increase of 97%.

This customs document, which reduces business operating costs and time costs, is helping companies carry out cross-border trade activities more efficiently and accelerate their appearance on the international stage. As an internationally accepted customs clearance document, the ATA Carnet is specially created by the World Customs Organization for temporary entry and exit of goods.
