Airbus announced plans to increase production of its A350 and A350-neighboring aircraft by 65 per cent. The company also announced a special dividend of 1 euro per share.
However, the company's profits fell by 11 per cent to 5.8 billion euros due to high special charges in the defense and space sectors. The announcement was met with a cautious reaction from the stock market, which closed 0.8 per cent down on the day. The A350 is the world's largest aircraft, with a fleet of more than 1,000.
