Air ticket prices plummet as tourists travel to Sanya during the Lantern Festival. On the festival day, the air ticket prices of multiple flights from Beijing, Shanghai, Xi'an, Chengdu are around 400 yuan.
The remaining air tickets from Sanya are also much higher than during the Spring Festival holiday. Most economy class fares are more than 2,000 yuan. On February 24, the airport will have 394 takeoffs and landings, and is expected to transport 73,198 passengers, including 30,750 inbound passengers.
