According to state administration orders: Danone sells Russian subsidiary to businessman Mingasov. Last July, the Russian subsidiary was placed under state administration, and Danone is now apparently planning to sell its Russian business.
The buyer has connections to Chechnya. Danone had previously warned that a sale of the unit could lead to a write-down of up to one billion euros. In retaliation for sanctions against Russian companies following Moscow's invasion of Ukraine, the Kremlin placed the company and the Russian Carlsberg subsidiary under receivership.
