Cécile Kohler and Jacques Paris were arrested on May 7, 2022 while they were on a tourist trip to Iran. Their relatives are launching a petition this Saturday, April 6, to call for their release.

They are each detained in a high security section of Evin prison, in a 9 m² cell with several other detainees. The Islamic Republic of Iran detains more than ten Western nationals and is accused by their supporters and NGOs of using them as a bargaining chip in state-to-state negotiations.
