Kremlin announced the rapid growth of trade and economic partnership between Russia and China. In less than five years, the trade turnover between the two countries has doubled and reached a record $240 billion by the end of 2023.

In the foreseeable future, the figure may rise to $300 billion, according to the Russian government. As experts note, Moscow has significantly increased its interaction with Beijing against the backdrop of sanctions imposed by the West. Nevertheless, the Kremlin does not see a threat of the Russian Federation becoming dependent on China.
