The Japan Fair Trade Commission is investigating the actual state of transactions between related businesses. The commission determined that IT giants Amazon and Google, which provide basic software, may have a superior position over video distribution companies.
In interviews with distributors, the two companies reportedly expressed concerns about their content being prioritized in rankings, recommendations, and unilaterally charging extremely high fees.
