The Tesla Model 3 is no longer the best-selling electric car in Europe, it has been dethroned by… the Tesla Model Y. The latter sold 45,165 copies, compared to 40,179 for the Model 3. On the third step of the podium, we find the electric Fiat 500 with 32,837 sales.

It is followed by another Stellantis model, the Peugeot e-208 (23,025), of which one in five models sold in Europe is electric, neck and neck with the Volkswagen ID.4 (23,010).

Then come the Kia Niro (22,749) and Skoda Enyaq (22,117), then the aging Renault Zoé (21,082).

The rest of the top 10 is made up of the Hyundai Kona (20,194) and the Dacia Spring (19,689), the cheapest electric on the market.

Compared to 2021, the list of manufacturers remains unchanged: Volkswagen is still ahead of Stellantis and Tesla, but Tesla (-0.5%) and especially Volkswagen (-5.8%) are losing market share where Stellantis is gaining ( + 1%).
