Two students from Nihon University were sent documents for possession of cannabis on the streets of Tokyo.

At Nihon University, a member of the rugby club was arrested and prosecuted in January for possessing cannabis, and according to the Metropolitan Police Department, the two are friends of this member.

Documents were sent to male students aged 21 and 22 who attend Nihon University.



According to the Metropolitan Police Department, the two people are suspected of violating the Cannabis Control Law for carrying about 5 grams of dried cannabis in a car parked on the street of Kita-Shinjuku in Shinjuku-ku this January.



At Nihon University, members of the rugby club were arrested and prosecuted in January for possession of cannabis, and according to the Metropolitan Police Department, the two were friends of this member and were together in the car at the time.



In response to the investigation, they all admitted the charges and said, "I bought it from the seller for 20,000 yen. I had it for use with friends."



Nihon University commented that two students were sent documents, "I do not know at this time, but I would like to confirm the facts in the future".
