Imports of mechanical and electrical products, high-tech products, metal ores and mineral sands and other goods were more, and the import growth rate reached 125.5%.
In addition, Nepal remains Tibet's largest trading partner and largest export market. The total value of trade with Nepal is 294 million yuan, accounting for 54.3% of the total value of Tibet ’s foreign trade, and the value of exports to Nepal accounts for 82.3% of the total value of Tibet ’s exports.
In the first quarter, Lhasa continued to lead, with Shigatse growing faster. Lhasa ranks first with a foreign trade value of 446 million yuan, accounting for more than 80% of the total value of Tibet's foreign trade, and Shigatse City's foreign trade value of 84 million yuan, an increase of 116.0%, the fastest growth rate.
In foreign trade, private enterprises dominate, and state-owned enterprises have grown. According to statistics, the total import and export value of Tibetan private enterprises is 426 million yuan, accounting for 78.6% of the total foreign trade value of the same period; the total value of import and export of state-owned enterprises is 108 million yuan, an increase of 16.6%.
In addition, in the first quarter, Lhasa Customs made 36 consultations on the clearance of epidemic prevention and control materials, and quickly cleared 619 batches of epidemic prevention and control materials, totaling 460,000 pieces and 1.24 million yuan.
