In a press release published on Thursday, the RATP indicates that three new stations - Pont-Cardinet, Clichy-Saint-Ouen and Mairie de Saint-Ouen - will be inaugurated in mid-December. The last one, Porte de Clichy, will be usable from January 2021. A delay which can be explained in particular by the fact that this station, more extensive than the others, requires more work.

The RATP nevertheless maintained traffic tests between the Madeleine and Porte de Clichy stations or work on electromechanical equipment in stations, such as installing escalators or elevators.
The purpose of this extension is in particular to relieve congestion on line 13. According to various studies, 25% of travelers could refer to it. In order not to saturate the new line, the RATP plans to enlarge the trains. From September, "subject to the successful completion of final tests", the trains on line 14 will consist of eight cars instead of six.
