China News Agency, Beijing, October 9th (Reporter Zhao Jianhua) The value-added tax invoice data released by the State Administration of Taxation on the 9th shows that from October 1 to 8 this year, during the National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival, the consumer demand of Chinese residents was released. The domestic consumer market is recovering strongly, and consumption of goods and services is showing a positive trend.

  Transactions in the physical consumer market continued to be active.

During the 8-day long holiday, the average daily sales revenue of China's wholesale and retail industry increased by 14.1% year-on-year.

Among them, sporting goods and equipment increased by 114.6% year-on-year, second-hand automobiles increased by 58.7% year-on-year, durable goods consumption such as building materials and decorative materials increased by 45.4% year-on-year, cosmetics and hygiene products increased by 33.6% year-on-year, and furniture consumption increased by 32% year-on-year.

  Service consumption such as catering, accommodation and tourism rebounded rapidly.

From October 1 to 8, the average daily sales revenue of catering and accommodation in China increased by 12.7%; the average daily sales revenue of tourism services recovered to 69.8% of the same period last year, which was 33.9 percentage points higher than during the May 1st holiday.

  The relevant person in charge of the State Administration of Taxation said that the consumption recovery trend of Chinese residents shows the advantages of China's super-large-scale market and the vigorous momentum released by the construction of a new development pattern with domestic large-scale cycles as the main body and mutual promotion of domestic and international double cycles.
