The SNCF seeks to attract followers of teleworking.

The public company has launched a subscription called “My annual teleworking package”.

According to the railway company, "it is suitable for frequent travelers who go to business two to three times a week", reports

Ouest France on

Friday.

"My annual teleworking package" allows you to make 250 trips per year, from Monday to Thursday, on a defined line.

According to SNCF, this package promises 40% savings compared to the classic annual package.

For 250 trips made in one year between Paris and Rennes, with “My annual teleworking package”, a user will pay 331 euros per month.

He would spend 552 euros if he took a classic annual package and more than 1,800 euros by paying for classic tickets at the leisure rate, according to the calculations of our colleagues.

New mobility trends and new habits are being created for our travelers: with My # Teleworking Package, we are adapting to support the new rhythms and needs of our customers.

35% of employees working from home in the coming years

More than a thousand customers have already subscribed to this new subscription formula since early August, according to the railway company.

Remote work has an impact on the filling of trains with in particular the decrease in business trips and seminars.

"During the month of September, the reservation figures are very low even though there is a lot of space and the trains are running",

said Christophe Fanichet, director of SNCF Voyages.

In the coming years, 35% of employees should have regular recourse to teleworking, according to a study by Ademe published in 2020. In order to bounce back, SNCF is thus relying on “commuters”, employees who will make occasional trips between their home and their business.

Since the start of the year, SNCF TGVs have been half as full as before the health crisis.

This summer, 18 million travelers took the main lines, a decrease of 15% compared to July and August 2019.
