The singer and actress Olivia Newton-John, who became world famous with the musical adaptation "Grease" in the 1970s, died on Monday at the age of 73.
This was reported by numerous American media, citing the husband and his post on the social media channels of the British-Australian songwriter and breast cancer activist.
Newton-John "died peacefully on their ranch in Southern California," husband John Easterling said in a statement.

In her five-decade career, the artist made a name for herself as a singer, actress and songwriter.
She rose to worldwide fame in the role of Sandy in the musical Grease opposite John Travolta.
