Rosstat recorded deflation in Russia for the first time since September 2019

The last time deflation at the level of 0.1% was recorded in Russia from 10 to 16 September 2019.

“For the period from 4 to 10 AugustIn 2020, the consumer price index, according to Rosstat, amounted to 99.9%, from the beginning of August - 99.9%, from the beginning of the year - 102.9%, ”the press release says.

Before that, inflation in Russia was zero for three weeks in a row.

In June, Anton Tabakh, chief economist of the Expert RA rating agency, in an interview with the Vzglyad newspaper, assessed the situation with inflation in Russia.
