On September 21, 2021 local time, the redwoods of California's Sequoia National Park in Los Angeles, California, were blazing in the fire.

Due to the dry climate and the spread of local wildfires, many of the world’s largest and oldest redwoods have died.

Some sequoias have a life span of more than 3,000 years and have experienced hundreds of wildfires.

The heat of small wildfires helps the reproduction of trees, but now wildfires are getting stronger and may kill more trees.
