Obsessive is to doubt everything.

This is my simple definition.

Scientifically, it is an idea or series of thoughts that accompanies a person and makes him feel anxious some or all of the time.

Did you perform ablution before prayer?

Did you pray three or four?

We all grapple with unimaginable uncertainty on a daily basis, and uncertainty is the feeling that leads us into an obsessive downward spiral, unlike the situation in which we can't make a decision because we don't have enough facts.

For example, you dealt with a company in a project and it disappointed you. You decided to deal with another company and found its performance better. In the next project, if you receive a set of offers, you will definitely ignore the company that disappointed you because of the availability of facts or information and will not enter the cycle of obsessiveness.

Obsessive-compulsive disorder is the following scenario: You are in the car, getting out of the house, and you ask yourself, Did you turn off the stove?

do not remember.

You get out of the car and go to the kitchen to make sure, you find it is off.

You go back to the car and then ask yourself, did you turn off the lights in the house and lock the door?

Unsure, you go back to the hall to make sure and re-confirm, and in this case you see an image emerging from your imagination of the opposite scenario: a stove and lighting in working condition and an unlocked door.

In your mind, the two scenarios, fact and fiction, wrestle with the tyranny of a negative image (house on fire) of what would happen if you left the stove on with the lights off and the door open.

When that happens, know that you are exactly on the line between sanity and madness.

Here you can be sure that even if you keep making sure a million times that everything is off, that will not change anything because your imagination operates in a contradictory manner and lies to your feelings.

You will not get rid of obsessive-compulsive disorder in a day and night, and there are degrees of illness, the most extreme of which is to see a psychiatrist and take medications or start training yourself and your mind to get rid of it.

For example, once you've turned off the stove and you're sure, leave the place and don't come back, turn off the lights and leave the place and don't look back, close the door and as soon as you hear the lock sound, you are sure it's locked, go and think of anything else that stimulates yourself and your mind away from the obsessions of reconfirmation .

Trust in God and read the spells, and remember the rule of certainty does not go away with doubt, and you will gradually build your self-confidence and the obsessive will disappear with time.

Situations:

A person, every time he enters the bathroom, spends an hour believing that all germs in his body must be removed even if there is no necessity.

He contracted a disease in his body from that harmful habit that was caused by his obsession.

And in the “Covid” crisis, I knew people who cut off their hands from using sterilizers for fear of germs, and despite that they contracted disease or obsessive disease from infection, and I knew people who took their precautions and trusted in God and threw obsessions behind their backs, and they did not catch anything despite the injury of the closest people to them at home.

So His Majesty was right when he said: “Among the evil of the deceitful whisperer who whispers into people’s chests.”

• We all grapple with uncertainty on a daily basis that we cannot imagine.
