The thermal power plant in Fukushima Prefecture, which supplies power to the jurisdiction of TEPCO, had been suspended due to equipment trouble since dawn on the 30th, but resumed operation at about half the output in the afternoon.

Joban Joint Thermal Power Station Nakoso Thermal Power Station Unit 9 in Iwaki City, Fukushima Prefecture, stopped operation at around 3:00 am on the 30th due to equipment problems.



Unit 9 has an output of 600,000 kW and normally supplies 300,000 kW to the TEPCO jurisdiction.



According to the Agency for Natural Resources and Energy, an urgent inspection was conducted and operation resumed in the afternoon.



Currently, the output is suppressed and it is operating at about half of 250,000 kW, of which about 120,000 kW has begun to be supplied to the TEPCO jurisdiction.



There is no prospect of a full recovery, and Joban Joint Thermal Power Co., Ltd., which operates it, is rushing to recover.
