A night of heavy fighting between Israeli police forces and Palestinian protesters has left more than 100 injured overnight in

, police and medical sources reported Friday morning.

The

has reported at least 105 wounded, of whom about 20 have been taken to hospital, while the police added that they had identified 20 wounded in their ranks and detained 44 people in the clashes.

In videos and images posted on social media, hundreds of Israelis can be seen marching through the streets of Jerusalem shouting "death to the Arabs."
